Mr. John K. Darr is a retired financial services executive with a diverse career spanning 38 years. During this period, John held various positions in financial institutions including Treasurer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco; CFO or higher of three major depositories on both coasts; EVP/CFO and CAO of Sallie Mae, where he engineered the initial public offering of stock and created the concept of interest rate swaps; Managing Director mortgage finance at a major Wall Street firm; and CEO/Managing Director of the Office of Finance, Federal Home Loan Banks where he was responsible for issuing debt throughout the world to fund this GSE's activities. John currently serves as Vice Chairman of the board of directors of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh; as an independent trustee of SEI Advisors' Inner Circle Funds (a conglomerate of mutual funds); and on the boards of Manna, Inc., a non-profit, low-income home construction and homeownership counseling entity in Washington, D. C. and Meals on Wheels, Lewes/Rehoboth where he also delivers meals as a substitute driver. Residing in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Mr. Darr and his wife, Linda, enjoy following the developments of the families of their two sons and four granddaughters. Mr. Darr is an avid golf player, bike rider and enjoys reading at the beach.
