DESCRIPTION: This spring, AEI scholars John Bailey and Rick Hess, along with 19 supporting coauthors—including former state education chiefs, city education leaders, federal education officials, and charter school network leaders—released a major report titled "A Blueprint for Back to School."
The report sketched a framework to help state policymakers, education and community leaders, and federal officials plan appropriately for reopening in the fall amid enormous uncertainty.
More than six months later, how successfully have students returned to learning? On December 3 at 3:00 pm ET, John Bailey will join the Caesar Rodney Institute to provide an update on the state of schooling during COVID-19.
