As the United States approaches the 250th anniversary of its founding, A Generational Conversation: America, Then & Now brings together representatives of five generations—the Silent Generation, Baby Boomers, Generation X, Millennials, and Generation Z—for a reflective dialogue on how the nation and its Constitution have been experienced across their lifetimes.
Spanning nearly a century of lived history, the discussion examines how Americans who came of age in different eras encountered the country’s founding principles and understood the meaning of liberty, citizenship, and civic responsibility. Panelists will consider how constitutional ideals were taught, interpreted, and tested within the social and historical contexts of their generation—from the mid-twentieth century to the present day.
